It's not a scratch build, Toon. Sorry to unintentionally mislead. It was an unpainted hard plastic model I bought off eBay a long time ago. Haven't seen one since but you never know.
Had a quick shifty on eBay, Toon, and there's a Mark I model for sale. It's wildly overpriced, though. I think I paid around £20 for mine. And it's a Mark II, as well.
Even allowing for my wonky painting, it wasn't the greatest of models to paint. It is a bit porous and actually soft in places, especially on the other side. I had to smooth out a lot of mold lines and even after that there was uneven sections, like the 'scope on the back. Little bits are missing, which partly explains the uneven paintjob in places. I also believe I used the wrong type of paint. Basically, I'd be lying if I said that I was happy how it turned out.
A scratch Lawgiver ! I assumed it must have been a replica kit from the early pic.
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of the technical drawing from early progs/annuals.Without wishing to appear a complete sycophant ........Zarjaz !

ReplyDeleteOuch ! Getting on for £100 by the time they add import charges.........guess that can wait.
ReplyDeleteI saw some of the paintwork on the rear wasnt dead straight so assumed it was a scratch build.
Would be fantastic to have one. Maybe some day.
